About John Costigan
John Costigan, president and founder of John Costigan Companies, conducts sales training classes around the world for a list of clients that reads like a “who’s who” in the corporate world, including Hewlett Packard, SAS Software, Experian, Exxon-Mobil, Tommy Hilfiger, IBM, CSC and the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes. On a bet from his brother, he started the company based on his belief that sales training is most effective when performed "LIVE," with real cold calls, real objections and real stalls being handled impromptu on an actual speaker phone in front of a live audience. With the success of his unique training program, John released his first CD-set, What to Say and How to Say It, which has been sold worldwide. A member of the National Speakers Association, John addresses sales forces and business organizations worldwide, sharing his knowledge and experience helping sales professionals master their craft and improve their lives. He has hosted a weekly call-in radio show called, "Everybody's a Sales Person," and was a guest commentator offering expert opinions for a local media station during Donald Trump's television series, The Apprentice. John holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Northern Illinois University. An ex-professional basketball player and avid fan of athletics, he supports a variety of sports-related charities such as The Cal Ripken Senior Foundation, The Nolan Ryan Foundation, Dave Drevecky’s Outreach of Hope, and The Catfish Hunter ALS Foundation. Most recently, he has become a supporter of Tim Ferriss' LITLIBERATION and sits on the Board of Directors for Excellence in the Field of Sales and Education from Northern Illinois University’s School of Business. A native of Chicago, John now resides in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. He has two beautiful children, Grace Catherine and Jack Ryan and still prays nightly for a Chicago Cubs World Championship.
